Children Asthma

This condition affects children of all age groups. Asthma being a condition that affects the respiratory system, care should be taken of children who are suffering from this condition. There are various causes of child asthma such as allergy, eczema, viral infections, environmental pollution etc.

The symptoms that are seen in children asthma include wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, tightness of chest and heavy breathing. This condition in children can turn out to be severe if not monitored closely. Proper medications should be given and the child should have regular check ups with the doctor. The child should be in a conducive environment, physically and mentally.

There are different conditions that trigger an asthmatic condition in children. These include, animals, food, fungi, mold, air pollution, weather, etc. These triggers usually irritate the airways and cause the symptoms of asthma. Therefore, the parent of the child should keep the child away from these conditions to prevent attacks. For instance, during the cold weather, parents should make sure that their children are warmly dressed

Children asthma has got prescribed medications that help to contain the condition and stop it from getting any worse. These include tablets, syrups and inhalers. Some of the medications are regular while others are not. This usually is dependent on the condition of the child. Therapy can also be given as a treatment for asthma in children. This will indeed help the child be able to deal with the condition. Usually if the condition is mild, the child out grows it as they get older.
